The album about the anti-hero Jonathan Steele was originally intended to be accompanied by a movie, with several hundred hours of film that were shot to create approximately 50 minutes of movie footage. This film has never been released - Until now! As the name of the DVD and its subtitle God Bless Death Metal suggests, the history of the band Extol is a very eventful one. This is partly due to the Christian attitude of the band members, from which they have never made a secret, but which also brought them a lot of hostility or, in the best case, simply indifference of the other person.

The recordings with which the DVD starts were probably made well before the band was founded in 1994 (according to the DVD, the band Extol was founded by four guys in a church!). Here priests and those who want to be are railing against rock music as the devil's work.
